Trunk or Treat

Saturday night found the Queen, the brave black Knight, and the very cute Dragon enjoying our church's Trunk or Treat - (the King was on a plane flying home from NY)!

There were about 40 cars, backed into parking spots with their trunks opened wide.

Some were elaborately decorated...

...while others were simply adorned with the owner of the car. They all had candy to pass out and my boys enjoyed going from car to car saying "Trunk or Treat."

Our stake activities chairs have done such a nice job really making this a fun event for us and our friends. Not only could the kids safely collect candy, but they enjoyed carnival-style games, had fun going down a 16' slide, and filling their bellies with hot dogs and chips. We had a blast and look forward to next year's event!

My brave knight!

The scary dragon (he kept sitting down so he could eat the candy)!

He also spent a lot of time taking off his costume and dancing!

Playing the bean-bag-toss game (Big D got 3 out of 5 in the pumpkins mouth)!

Ohhh - I LOVE it! I was on the activities committee for years and we always did this. In August I was released. The saddest day EVER. This is the first year that we aren't having a trunk or treat and I am so so sad. My kids LOVED it.

Yea! Fun! And so cute!

Okay, I love the fact that you and Ryan always dress up and that you guys do a family themed costume group (even though you probably won't ever find Dan or I dressed up).

I think we'll miss ours this year (loved it last year though) because it starts at 7 pm...my kiddos don't handle lack of sleep well and this is bed-time! :(

We have trunk or treat too but it would be awesome if it was the whole stake!
