5.  Adhesive

   Happy Bday Planning,

It's Great to be Eight

Eight is Great

This last week was a pretty busy week with Twilight Camp, our oldest turning 8 and then to culminate the adventures, he entered the waters of baptism and became a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints– we were so thrilled with his decision!

He is enjoying Cub Scouts and had a great week with over 200 other cub scouts at Twilight Camp. The highlight to him was shooting a bb gun!

His birthday was celebrated by taken a few of his friends to see Toy Story 3 in 3-D, and then having lunch and cupcakes together.

The day after he turned 8 he was baptized. He planned the entire program (picked out who would speak, say prayers, and what songs he wanted to sing). It was a wonderful milestone in his life.

Here are 8 things I love about our oldest:

1.   He is compassionate – I love that he is sensitive to others needs. Although he can be a bit emotional I wouldn’t want him any other way. I have a feeling this quality of being compassionate and sensitive will suit him well in his life!

2. He is athletic – I love watching him try new sports and enjoy seeing how easy it seems to be for him, most of the time. There are a few things he tries that he has to practice at, and this frustrates him, but he still tries!

3. He is smart – he has a great sense of others and the world around him. He may not be the most book smart kid in the world, but I appreciate that he has a good head on his shoulders and is well rounded!

4. He has an infectious smile and laugh – when you catch a glimpse of a true smile, his dimple shows and my heart melts. He has a great laugh and though he tends to be on the more serious side, it is so fun when you get the treat of his laughter!
5. He wants to be the best he can – sometimes this means he adds stress to himself, but for the most part he will keep doing something until he figures it out. He is not a stranger to frustration and tears because of this trait, but I admire his stick-to-it-ness!

6. He has a great sense of right and wrong – This is a good quality but does led to him telling people what they ought to do, making sure everyone follows the rules, etc… (Unfortunately and fortunately, he gets this from his mother).

7.  He is a GREAT big brother – even when his younger brother is being annoying, he tries really hard to play well with Little C! I know that his younger brothers (Little C and the one that will be here in a few months) can look to him and they will have a great example to follow!

8. He is helpful – if we ask him to do something, there is usually no complaint from him. He may need to be reminded a few times, but he will do it!

I love him and am so grateful that I get to be his mom!!!

Happy Birthday....

... to Peanut #2!!!!

4 years old

3 years old

2 years old

1 year old

A few minutes old

We celebrated C-man's 4th birthday with a car birthday party. The highlight of the day was the bounce house! I was so glad that the weather cooperated and that we were able to have sunshine!

We are so lucky to have C-man in our family - there is never a boring moment when he is around! There are many thing that I love about this kid but I thought I would share 4 since he is now 4 years old.

1. He is curious and adventurous - because of these two traits we are very familiar with bloody lips, bruises, and scratches. None of those things slow him down. Because he is so curious he has taught himself how to write his own name (as well as his brothers, mine, his dads, and grandparent's names) among other self taught skills!

2. He has a great disposition - for the most part, he is a happy, albeit mischievous (see #1), little one. If he is in a bad mood, everyone knows it, but his good moods and easy going attitude will serve him well the older he gets!

3. He loves his brother - he always wants to do what his older brother is doing. How lucky he is to have such a good big brother. Because of Dallin's example to him, I have no doubt that Carson will be a great big brother to his little brother or sister that will be here in August.

4. He loves life - from the moment he wakes until he drifts off to sleep he embraces the day and enjoys all that may come his way!

Our lives are more full because he is in our life! We love you Noni!!!!

Happy Celebrating to you,

I can hardly belive it...

...on the 18th my oldest son turned 7 years old! He had a wonderful day and even extended the celebration to the next day as we celebrated his birthday with a carnival party with his friends!

We had a wonderful time at Big D's Carnival! He greeted his friends at a ticket booth; they enjoyed playing 6 games where they collected tickets; got their faces painted; enjoyed snow cones, hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy; filled their loot bags with lots of prizes at the prize table; and they all could take their picture as a muscle man! So much fun!

Things that I love about Big D:
- He lights up a room with his smile
- He is kind to his friends and family
- He's a dancing machine
- Math and Science come easily to him
- He loves to put things together
- He can't wait to be baptized next year
- He's very helpful at home
- He likes to try to cook
- He's very athletic
- He loves to play games
- He's a good swimmer
- and so much more.....

We love him so much and are so happy he is in our family! Love you Big D!

Happy 6th B-Day Dallin!

I can't believe that 6 years ago today little Peanut #1 came into the world! We waited awhile for him to arrive and he was worth the wait! Most of you know that after 4 years of marriage, 2 miscarriages, an entire pregnancy of throwing up and iv's, an 18 hour labor (that was induced because he was 1 1/2 weeks overdue), and eventually having a c-section.... Big D arrived as precious as could be!

Big D is: a cuddler, a rule-folower (for the most part), sensitive, dramatic, a good dancer, good with numbers, a natural athlete, a kind big brother, artistic, playful, action figure lover, a follower of Christ, a child of God, and so many other things!

Ryan and I are thrilled to be parent's and although I do grumble about the struggles and challenges that come my way because of these little people, I would not trade it!

I am so blessed to be his mom!

Carson is 2!!!

So Saturday was Little C's 2nd birthday (I've been in bed with another cold since Saturday night or this would have been posted much sooner)! We celebrated his big day with a party with family and a few of his buddies! Lunch was yummy and there was plenty of play time for the little ones!

He didn't seem to understand why we were all singing to him!

He was really into the present opening!

Big D was such a great present opener too! That's what big brothers are for!

So as the party ended, Little C anxiously awaited for his new trains and other fabulous toys to be opened. He and Big D enjoyed playing with his new treasures (many thanks to those who gave him so much).

Let me just add that I am so lucky to have Little C in my life! He is a spunky little boy, who never stops when he's awake, doesn't fight nap time, has the cutest laugh, loves to tease his big brother because he knows it will bug Big D, skips when he runs, loves to pick flowers, screams - I mean talks very loudly, and is ready for the exciting toddler years! We love him and are so grateful he came to our family!
