Mary Poppins

This past Thursday evening (June 2), I surprised the boys with a date night to see the Broadway musical, Mary Poppins that is currently playing at the Sacramento Community Theater. Even though I had to pull some serious teeth with the oldest to get him to dress up (he thought we were going to another play at the local high school and couldn't understand why I asked him to dress in something more than shorts and  t-shirt), the night ended with smiles all around!

I seriously LOVE this musical! Ryan and I saw it on Broadway in New York a few years back and when I saw it was coming to town I knew I wanted to take the boys to it! They enjoyed the songs and even asked if they could buy Mary Poppin's umbrella so that they could fly! Funny boys!!! They have also been singing many of the songs! I love it!!!

Happy Date Night to you,

New York, New York

Ryan and I had a wonderful time in Manhattan. It was an extended weekend spent walking, eating, watching, and taking in the wonderful sites! I would love to go back and spend some more time checking out the different areas and visiting a few more shops!!!!

Leave A Light On When I'm Gone

Friday night, with much anticipation, my husband accompanied me to the David Cook concert at the California State Fair. Ryan knows how much I LOVE David Cook's music and for my birthday had purchased us tickets to see him. We were in row K, close enough to see him with my own eyes!

The concert was AWESOME - he and his band ROCKED and let's just say I have a new appreication for his drummer, who not only hammered away at his drums but sang back up in almost every song!!! I knew every song he played, and those of you who know me know that I was surely singing and dancing along! I enjoyed how down to earth he seemed as he spoke to the crowd! He just seems like a nice guy!

Thank you honey for taking me to see David!!!

Scattergories

On Friday night we went out to dinner with our good friends, Scott and Laura. We enjoyed dinner and then we went over to their house and played Scattergories. We always laugh so hard when we play games together and Friday was another stomache aching good time!

I highly recommend having a game night! We need to do them more often!
